Mindful Iterations
Words – I have a little bit of a love affair with ‘em. The way they flow off the lips, the way they leap out of a pen onto a piece of paper, the way they click from finger to keyboard. Words are amazing. I love ‘em.
In the realm of creativity, I tend to wander in and out of different places – the kitchen table drawing, the occasional strum of guitar, and the back-of-the-napkin poem. Sometimes I’ll write in a Moleskine. Each night as I fall asleep, I usually have a lyric or two forming in my head. I rarely write these down. I always wish I did.
The point is (and does there always need to be a point?) that I love words. The creative drink-of-choice I always find myself coming back to is the written word; specifically, poetry and prose.
